Welcome! We are so excited for you to join us for the new format of our 2025 Hill Day. This is an awesome opportunity to experience Capitol Hill and interact with key decision-makers about the importance of church-state separation.

After Monday morning’s keynote speaker and sessions, we’ll provide a brief training and transport you to Capitol Hill to hear from select Members of Congress and their staffers on the state of our issues and the most powerful ways you can impact policy. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to stop by your Representative’s and/or Senator’s office(s) to drop off materials about our issues and share personal letters on why this issue matters to you. Lunch, a Hill Day T-shirt, and round-trip transportation from the hotel to Capitol Hill are provided. You’ll also have the option to bring your luggage and depart for home from Capitol Hill.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR Hill DAY?
We will provide t-shirts for all participants which is a way to visually raise awareness of our issue as we walk around Capitol Hill. Wear comfortable walking shoes—you may walk between 5 and 15 minutes to get to venues. You may also be on your feet throughout the day. We recommend that you dress casually and still respectfully such as jeans or pants and comfortable sneakers. Please do not wear items supporting political candidates or with partisan slogans — Americans United is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we cannot endorse political campaigns, candidates, or parties.​ Please check the forecast and bring an umbrella in case of rain and/or a warm jacket; rain or shine, you will need to walk outside to and from your Hill meetings.
How are we getting to the Hill Day venue and then to our meetings?
There will be buses that take everyone from the hotel to Capitol Hill. We will be walking between various venues including the House and Senate office buildings. If you are worried about the walk, don’t worry. Reach out to us at [email protected] and we will do our best to provide you with accommodations. ​
